Ok here's my most recent 16x20 acrylic painting of an orange sun and sunset. It started out looking like a fire which was painted with a large putty knife. I think it is because I had been affected by the Carr fire in Redding where we used to live. Some of our friends were affected and a number of people we know lost their homes. However I didn't feel to leave the painting looking like a fire so I added lighter pastel colors and some white glazing. It still needed the bright orange sun and now I am much more comfortable with it.
Blooper! Or do you call it that on a website blog? Ok I tried to make a link on the words "acrylic painting of an orange sun and sunset" but somehow the link linked the whole paragraph. I am hoping to learn to do this better next time but don't know how to change it yet as I am still learning.
I hope you enjoyed this painting. It is in my shop if you are ever interested in purchasing it or any of my other wall art and paintings for sale. Most are the original paintings but there are also some prints. I also have prints and other items for sale on Fine Art America.
Here is my first testimonial video from Dave Chandoo, someone who bought a piece of my art who lives locally so I went to his house to do the video. Then my husband Gary, Dave and I went out to dinner at a yummy mexican restaurant.
The angel painting Dave bought is a painting of the Angel of the Lord watching over the universe. If you are interested in the painting process the background is poured and the foreground is painted on over the acrylic pour after it dried.
Although I have had a lot of clients in the past from previous sales it has been hard to be able to contact them because of rules on the sites I have sold off of it is only now that I am asking anyone to share. If you have purchased a painting from me in the past or from a site I have sold from please contact me if you are able to share a short testimonial video with the art piece and what you like about it to put on my website. I would greatly appreciate your help! My email is email@example.com or you may also contact me via facebook at my Facebook page Jane Schleppenbach Art.
Ok here is my first art demo. It is of a painting I have reworked using acrylic pour. After it dried I decided to add some lighter paint to add more contrast. It came out as a stalactite stalagmite painting. I'm hoping to improve my video making skills over time and was hoping to speed it up but when I put it to 1.5 in the program I don't think it sped up :( but I am determined to learn. Here is the finished painting! The picture has some glare on it because of the glossy finish. The top part dark parts are actually darker.
Welcome to my art blog! My name is Jane Schleppenbach. I would like to share with you and encourage you in your own creativity as I share my journey with you. I have taken many college art classes and also learn from videos, magazines and my own experimentation. Hopefully, we can share each other's experiences in art and creativity for mutual encouragement. I have been painting for many years and have sold a lot of my work online, at art fairs and to private parties across the US and some overseas but am always open to positive improvement and love to explore new areas. I am really looking forward to interact with you here and get to know you. Feel free to comment!
