Getting back to work at painting and sharing my art! Have been enjoying a special time in my life of meeting my 43 year old son who I had chosen to put up for adoption 43 years ago. I had been in a dangerous first marriage but now am so blessed to be in contact with my son for the first time since he was born. A new beginning for a wonderful relationship!
Now time to get back to some work and play in the art category. Hoping you will enjoy this new painting I have added to my store available for purchase! Although I kind of enjoy going back and forth between different ways of painting, I really love to paint from my psyche so to speak in kind of an expressionism style without worrying about anything like having the drawing perfect. So this is how I have painted this painting. It is actually inspired by the photograph below I took in Leavenworth, WA of a man and probably his daughter walking across the street. I may later paint this whole photo scene as a watercolor if I'm feeling the need. I do love all the parts of the photo but for some reason just wanted to paint the man and child in a quick expression in mostly the blues and greens with some yellow added.
Welcome to my art blog! My name is Jane Schleppenbach. I would like to share with you and encourage you in your own creativity as I share my journey with you. I have taken many college art classes and also learn from videos, magazines and my own experimentation. Hopefully, we can share each other's experiences in art and creativity for mutual encouragement. I have been painting for many years and have sold a lot of my work online, at art fairs and to private parties across the US and some overseas but am always open to positive improvement and love to explore new areas. I am really looking forward to interact with you here and get to know you. Feel free to comment!
